Huánuco by its pleasant primaveral climate throughout the year, is considered like
the "City of the Eternal Spring".
The region mountain range of Huánuco stands out by its agricultural and cattle activity,
emphasizing the cultures of the Pope, dry amylaceous maize, haba grain, quinua, wheat;
and in the region forest the yellow maize cultures last, dry rice, frijol grain, cacao,
coffee, banana, and other fruits.
In the department of Huánuco are important archaeological centers: The Temple of the
Crossed Hands of Kotosh, the ruins of Piruro in Tantamayo, Wata in Huamalíes, Tinyash
in Huacaybamba, Huanuco Pampa, among others.
